Being of service, especially to my elderly aunties
Career:
Most of the jobs I have had in my life were business oriented: Financial Advisor, Tax Preparer, Bookkeeper, Legal Secretary, Bank-Teller. But I think my all-time favorite job was the summer I worked in the gift shop at the Miramar Hotel. It was so fun to talk with people from other places, and people who are on vacation tend to be happy people.
Just recently, I completed the transition from Financial Advisor to Financial Coach. (Yaay!) I'm enrolled in the Coach Training Program with The Academy For Coaching Excellence, leading to a professional certification with the International Coaching Federation. As of the first of this year, I am no longer licensed to manage financial assets, give investment advice or sell financial products and am now focused on helping people improve the way that they view and behave with their money. Coaching is about looking forward, planning and taking the steps that bring meaning to one's life, and I am thrilled to be able to provide guidance as my clients create the financial conditions that enable them to live the life that only they can imagine.

Moving to California when I was 20 and then back to Boston at 40
Raising my step-children (great kids)...
Being a founding board member of The Dream Foundation, a dream-granting organization
for terminally-ill adults
Completing the Certified Financial Planning Educational Program
7 winters waking up in a beach house in Montecito. Looking forward to the 8th
